Enjoyable. I felt very safe in this location of APA

Good location. Train stations are about 4 to 6 minutes walk. Many cafes and restaurants within a few minutes from the hotel. The staffs are friendly too.

it is one of the nice chain hotels of japan. it is good for price-value balance but rooms are small

the rooms are very small... you cant even open 2 luggages at the same time in the room... be careful!

Small but Satisfactory hotel room - so so experience in other respects

Within walking to Ueno Park and big station there. Quieter less busy hotel. Street front and surrounding area a bit quiet but further from Ueno park and the station there.

Felt I got not the best service. I came back to wait for my room to be ready but they did not tell me and I had been waiting more than 20 minutes in lobby. It was very quiet and two young front desk staff were busy talking continuously to each. I was frustrated as quite tired. My room was apparently ready likely all along but they did not want to let you into room until after 3 pm and I had returned after 3 pm. Staff did not offer an apology until I said you could have told me my room was ready as I had been waiting - and he then apologized but it did not sound sincere that he felt sorry. This hotel is quite slow and it seems they were busy socializing while I was waiting. I got the impression they thought it was amusing there had been a misunderstanding and they had not bothered to tell me the room was ready or greet me when I returned or check in with me as I was sitting in the lobby obviously waiting. I thought this was poor and unprofessional. No onsen at this hotel and room is small but all rooms are small at APA hotels. The location at Ueno park is almost same price. They are very busy but very efficient in checking large volumes of people in. APA hotels are a major brand and you get some consistency but I would recommend staying at the hotel at Ueno station if you have a choice and not this one which does not have an onsen and staff may be a bit young and inexperienced and distracted. On another day another person at This hotel gave me wrong info that as I was leaving Tokyo for 2 days they could not keep my luggage - but I could leave my luggage with the next APA hotel I was going to stay at in 2 days - I tried taking it there but they said they could not accept the luggage even though I would check in within 2 days - this is their policy.

This place is good

There were many disposable supplies like toothbrushes, hairbrushes etc The bad and pillow were comfortable

It was cigarette smell in the evening and bight that came from somewhere to our room by ventilation. And we didn’t get bottles of water on the second day

Ther hotel is nice, practical and reasonably priced, but has small rooms

Good breakfast, with mostly Japanese dishes. Very friendly and helpful staff and service.

Small room for two persons. It worked, but reduced the comfort slightly.

Wonderful

Really convenient location, near many subway and train stations. Room was clean and quiet. Lots of little coffee shops and restaurants in the neighborhood for breakfast alternatives, plus several nearby conbinis. Enjoyed walking in the nearby Ueno Park a couple times.

The location is good, a few minutes walk to the metro station (main line to the local spots like Ginza, Asakuka, Shibuya, Ueno, Omotesando) -- considered quite convenient to me. Plus the area is quiet and not busy comparing to Ueno.

Convenient. Clean. Good hospitality. The food quiet meet my tastes.

A/C. first 2 nights felt like I'm being cooked. I'm a person who can't sleep if my room feels hot. I had set the temperature to the coldest one but still not cool. Then I realize that they used centralized A/C. Maybe next time, they met the people like me, they would ask if the costumers wanted to set the A/C and centralized. But still a great hotel.

The location is strategic. Easy access to public transportation.

The room is quite small for a double bed (Not much space to move). It's ok if you just use the room to sleep at night.

Comfortable, efficient, clean, and refreshing.

The ease of check-in and check out is very welcome, and the staff are more than able to assist with any inquiries in English or other languages. The room was clean, just the right size for a solo-traveler, and the bath area was just right. The breakfast choices (only 2: American style or Japanese style) were good, and the coffee tasty.

Not a fault of the hotel, but if you're going to stay here and you want to visit Akihabara, its a bit of a walk--nothing bad, but be ready.

Wonderful

As always APA hotels are reliable. You get what you expect and normally they are in convenient locations, close to a few trains stations and convince stores. This one has a little restaurant in the ground floor. In a rainy day they lend us umbrellas.

The bed this time was a bit bended and the pillow was quite thin, it felt a bit old.

Wonderful

This was a comfortable facility to stay in other than some issues I already knew about. The bathroom and room was very compact but I was expecting that. Good AC, good lighting, a fridge for keeping konbini drinks or snacks.

The single pillow provided was quite thin. I would not have been able to sleep with just that. Although I did not ask staff about changing it in some way, I did use one of my travel bags stuffed with clothes as a makeshift second pillow. This is good enough for me, but maybe not for others. I was also unsure what to do with the bags of amenaties provided daily. I needed and used the towels but the rest of the items piled up in my room and were not always removed during the 3-day mandatory cleaning.

Great location and affordable

Location is excellent for those for those looking to do much around Akihabara like me. Close to multiple train stations including Akihabara station. The staff is very friendly and helpful, one of them was even kind enough to call the Pepper Parlor cafe to book me a table.

The only down side about this hotel to me was the breakfast, it wasn't clear what kind of breakfast it was, so we included it thinking it were a buffet, but it is only 2 options of breakfast, American and Japanese. American is only 2 pancakes, 3 mini sausages and a bit of scrambled eggs. Not worth the price in my opinion.
